Overview:

BDLS is a comprehensive 8-hour review of hazard topics with critical information on the health care professional’s role in the public health and incident management systems, community mental health, and special needs of vulnerable populations.

The one-day, primarily didactic, BDLS training consists of lectures on topics including natural and human-made disasters, traumatic and explosive events, nuclear and radiological events, biological and chemical events, and psychosocial aspects of disasters.

BDLS meets the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Code of Federal Regulations 1910.120 requirement for Hazardous Materials Awareness.

Includes an AMA textbook, official AMA completion card & CME.
