Program Description:
Community health centers play vital roles in the everyday health and well-being of many individuals and communities. They have enormous potential to contribute to emergency preparedness, response, and recovery of these communities as well. This program will discuss what community health centers in California and Connecticut have been doing to enhance their emergency preparedness, and outline what partner agencies, such as health departments and hospitals, can do to integrate community health centers into more coordinated local emergency response systems.
